Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and CallByClick ("we", "us") for the CallByClick Chrome extension, the CallByClick Windows helper, the license service and the website (together, "the Service"). By subscribing to or using the Service you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who we are
CallByClick is operated by a sole proprietorship registered in Armenia. Contact: contact@callbyclick.com.
2. What the Service is
The Service lets you click a phone number on a web page (or type one) and have your own Polycom VVX desk phone dial it, from the phone line you choose. It consists of a browser extension, a small Windows program (the helper) that runs on your computer and talks to your phone over your local network, and a license service that confirms your subscription.
The Service does not provide phone service. Calls are placed by your own desk phone through your own phone provider, under your agreement with them. We are not a telecommunications carrier.
3. Subscription, billing and cancellation
- The Service is sold as a monthly subscription at the price shown on the website. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, under their own terms; your receipt and billing come from them.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and there are no partial-month refunds.
- One computer per subscription. A subscription activates the Service on one computer at a time. You can move it: deactivate in the extension's settings on the old computer, then activate on the new one with the same email. If the old computer is no longer available, email us and we will release it.
- Refunds: if the Service does not work with your phone and we can't fix it, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.
4. Requirements — and what the helper does to your phone
- You need Windows 10 or 11, a Polycom VVX desk phone with UC Software 5.4 or newer (other Poly phones with the REST API, such as Trio, CCX and Edge E, may work but are not tested by us; SoundPoint, SoundStation and Poly Edge B phones are not supported) on the same local network as the computer, and a Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera).
- To dial, the phone's built-in REST API must be enabled and its administrator password must not be the factory default. When you click your phone in the extension's settings, the helper does this for you: it enables the phone's REST API and, if the phone is still on the factory password, replaces it with a new random 6-digit password, which it shows you and remembers. If the phone already has its own password, you provide it once and the helper uses it only to enable the API and to dial.
- By clicking your phone in settings you authorize those changes. You confirm you are entitled to configure the phone (it's yours or you have the owner's permission). Changing the administrator password of a phone you're not entitled to configure is your responsibility, not ours.
- The helper only ever connects to devices on your local network and to our license service. It does not connect anywhere else.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only to place calls you are lawfully allowed to place. Comply with telemarketing, do-not-call and consent laws that apply to you.
- Don't share your subscription email so that others can activate on their computers; one subscription is for one computer.
- Don't reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the Service, or use it to interfere with phones or networks you aren't entitled to use.
6. Your data
What the Service accesses and what we receive is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: your calls, phone settings and page contents stay on your computer and your network; the only things our license service receives are the email you subscribed with and your computer's name.
7. Availability and changes
We'll do our best to keep the Service working, but it depends on your phone, your network, your browser and third parties (Google's Chrome Web Store, Lemon Squeezy, Cloudflare, Polycom firmware) that we don't control. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give notice and refund any prepaid, unused period.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will work with every phone, firmware version, network or setup, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost loads, missed calls or business interruption, arising from the Service — including from a phone that could not dial, a misdialed number, or a change the helper made to a phone at your request. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end a subscription that breaks these terms, with a refund of any prepaid unused period unless the breach was serious. On termination, uninstall the extension and helper; the helper's --uninstall command removes its registration.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia. If you're a consumer, you keep any protections of the law of the country where you live that can't be waived by agreement.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the website and, for subscribers, by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
